WHAT'S ON OFFER

  • Attractive $80,000 - $100,000+ salary based on your skills and experience.
  • 30 – 40 hours per week (we’re happy to accommodate your desired hours).
  • Enjoy the comfort and convenience of working from your own home, as we are a 100% remote team.
  • Do work around your own personal schedule with our flexible work arrangements (decide on your start and finish times - perfect for appointments, family commitments, or even how you personally like to work i.e. night owl vs early riser).
  • Work with 10-15 trade and construction businesses to provide more personalised, high quality, value adding advice and support (not just transactional accounting/bookkeeping with 40+ accounts where you can’t make a real difference!)
  • Have complete ownership of your role with end to end client management while having support from the rest of the team wherever necessary .
  • We'll pay for any tech, training and equipment you need to excel in your role - we're big on development! If there is a course, conference, or certification that can support your continued learning and provide value to the firm, we’re happy to cover it!

Senior Tax Accountant

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Responsible for the weekly end-to-end bookkeeping service delivery of a small client base of trade and construction businesses (typically 10-15 clients).
  • Engage directly with clients to develop and strengthen relationships (client facing role).
  • Respond to weekly client queries regarding bookkeeping, financials, and payroll.
  • Prepare client accounts for tax lodgements.
  • Act as a workflow manager for your clients ensuring that everything is up to date.
  • Meetings with the rest of the TBA team to update and optimise our service for clients.
  • Analyse and improve the efficiency / state of Xero accounts.
  • Provide proactive advice and value around obligations, numbers, and accounts i.e. be helpful and supportive.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Degree qualified (business, commerce, accounting, finance etc).
  • Minimum 10 years’ accounting/bookkeeping experience in PUBLIC PRACTICE ACCOUNTING.
  • Tech savvy and highly competent in Xero.
  • Experience with DEXT receipt management software.
  • Proactive, positive, friendly, and helpful personality.
  • Passionate about speaking with and helping clients achieve great outcomes (this is a must as this role is client facing).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with high emotional intelligence. Ability to quickly establish connections and build rapport with clients.
  • High attention to detail - please mention that you've read this in your cover letter*
  • Knowledge of relevant ATO legislation.
  • Ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with a results-driven mindset and strong sense of task/role ownership.
